so this was the last week for intramural soccer :[
both of the teams i played for went into the playoffs but unfortunately we didn't win
we played hard, and tried our best
now i might have to start going to the gym because i lost my only source of exercise
the rest of the week dragged by very slowly
nothing particularly amazing happened
friday night was pretty darn awesome though
the USD fambam decided to go see a drive-in movie
my first drive-in EVER!
but before the show, we all went to L&L's to have dinner
the food was good as always
then we went back to our dorms to grab our blankets & such then went on our way
the place wasn't too far away & it was pretty cheap
it was only $7 for 2 movies. sweet.
we watched Observe & Report and I Love You Man
for the first movie, me & amanda sat on the trunk of the car to watch the movie
it was cool but a tad painful after a while
so after the first movie, we turned the car around & we all sat inside
i didn't really like Observe & Report
i thought it was kinda stupid
it was like a dirtier version of Paul Blart Mall Cop
i actually liked that movie better
the second movie was amazing
that was actually my second time watching it
i love that movie!
so good
paul rudd is so awkward
you can't help but fall in love with him
by far the best scene of the movie was the whole "slappin da bass mon" between Rudd and Rashida Jones
after the movies we went back to the dorms & kicked it for a little bit at Borrego
i spent saturday studying for my bio midterm
i have actually been studying all week for this midterm
sunday rolls around & i continue to study
but i got distracted as the concert started getting closer & closer
the anticipation was ridiculous
my first time seeing Dashboard Confessional
& it was only $10
heck yes! haha
they were really good
& i gotta give props to the lead singer because he can really belt out the notes & sustain them
i think my heart skipped a beat. haha
i was so sad when the concert was over
afterwards, my friends wanted to go eat din din but i passed
i don't have money to eat
i chose music over food. seriously. haha
so now im back at my dorm eating my 20 cent ramen not studying for my midterm

interesting week i must say
so the United Front Formal was this weekend
& my friends really wanted me & my roomies to go
but i was iffy
then on tuesday Micah, my friend from FUSO
asked me to the formal
it caught me completely off guard let me tell you
i see him like a little brother
i told him i'd get back to him to think it over
from then on until wednesday i struggled with the decision
then, with the help of my roomies & Charisma, i decided to go with them instead
i felt so bad turning him down
he is such a nice guy
but life moves on
thursday was pretty normal
friday finally came & i was nervous as balls because i had a persuasive speech to give for my public speaking class
i personally don't think i did too well, but i hope i got a decent grade nonetheless
i did a mini freak out when i found out my cell phone wasn't working
i never knew how dependent i was on my cell phone as a means of connecting me with people
but finally my phone starts working again
it was a dreadful 12 hours of my life! haha
friday night was pretty chill though
i just watched tv & played online games (nerdy i know)
then my other roommate Blanca came home & we watched Twilight
wow.
the one word i would use to sum up that movie is: awkward
hahaha oh man, & i thought it was pretty darn funny
so saturday rolls around & we're all excited/nervous
before the formal, we all head over to G's place for a little pre-gaming & picture taking
during the drive over to the Hilton, G tells me that Sean texted me friday night about the formal
& that they all thought i was a snob or something
my heart sank
i felt so terrible
no wonder he was acting awkward around me
stupid cell phone, horrible timing
i wanted to make amends so i made up my mind to apologize to him & to explain myself
it was a lot harder than i thought
i was hella nervous, but i finally did it & he forgave me & said it was cool
& that he knew that i wouldn't intentionally not respond
after clearing the air, i could truly start dancing & partying & such
it was awesome because they played Journey's Don't Stop Believin
the USD fambam linked together & started singing out loud
it was so much fun
after the dance, we went to the after party at Ria's house
which was literally across the street from school
so we all just walked to the house
the party was fun & we left around 3am
most people called it a night & went to bed
but Sean, Charisma, V, Amanda, & i were still wired & ended up chilling in the courtyards of the vista
we then decided to play Dirty Minds back at my dorm
honestly the game wasn't as fun as i thought it would be
i lost of course :[ haha
we finally called it a night at about 6am
crazy, we were awake for the sunrise haha
the weirdest thing was that i woke up at 11am
wtf?!?!?!
5 hours of sleep???? why???? haha stupid body
last night we were talking about hitting up the beach today so i send the mass text
& we end up going to The Jetty
the weather was perfect! it was warm & windy
it was crazy traffic driving to the beach but when it came time to park, there were tons of free spaces
weird. haha
we basically all just laid out
im not really good at it because i get antsy & fidgety
& i feel like i need to be doing something
once it started getting colder we packed up our stuff & left
we were actually at the beach for about 2 hours!
it really didn't feel like 2 hours at all
we get back to the dorms at almost 6pm
so now i should really be doing homework but i don't want to
i refuse! haha

I only had 3 days of class before Easter break
& my music class was once again cancelled for this week
so happy :]
i started off my Easter break with I Love You Man
great movie
& what made it even more interesting is that we played a little game where we drank our juice every time someone says "i love you man," "dude," "date," or a made up word
twas fun indeed
i went back home the following day on thursday via amtrak
i hung out with the family
friday was basically the same as thursday
i just chilled with the family
i had lunch with my mom, sis, and her bf at kabuki
i bumped into Gary which was cool
because i haven't seen him in such a long time
then the whole fambam went to The Boiling Crab in Alhambra
the wait was about an hour and a half
but it was completely worth it
we had shrimp, crab legs, and crayfish
there were no utensils and no plates
we had to get down and dirty
i loved it
i would most definitely go back again
on saturday i got my haircut
i was planning on simply getting my bangs back & trimming the ends
but the guy cut it a lot shorter than i expected
but it's all good in the hood because i really like it
i had jollibee for lunch & then met up with pam
we then met up with jared, steph, and angela at the galleria
pam & i then split off from them to watch Hannah Montana
gahh horrible movie
i wouldn't say it's THE WORST MOVIE
but i would definitely put it in the top 5
after the movie we went to paseo for our friend's bday dinner at vokcano
there were a lot of people there we didn't even know
the birthday girl was almost 2 hours late
we couldn't stay to eat because we promised we would meet up for Jared's bday dinner at Buca de Beppo in Huntington
so we wished her happy birthday then bounced
we arrived at Huntington and met up with everyone
it was so good seeing everybody again
i love how it feels like we just pick up right where we left off
it feels like nothing has really changed
as the night came to an end we all went our different ways
pam was tired from driving all day so she let me drive
i was so excited
this was probably the longest drive for me
i did okay, everyone survived haha
on sunday i went to dim sum with the fambam
then we tried going to the Santa Anita mall but it was closed
lame
so we just went to the Jamba Juice by our house
it was nice just sitting outside and chilling
for din din we went to Black Angus because i really wanted prime rib
i spent monday getting ready to go back to SD
i got back at about 6pm & had dinner at L&L's
i have not done anything academically productive over Easter break... oh well
i can't believe there is only 6 weeks of school left
then i'll be a junior. wow. crazyness.

so on tuesday
there was a Sophomore Career Day thing during dead hours
i only went because i get extra credit for my financial accounting class
the speakers were alright
i am kinda inspired to become an accountant
because it just seems so practical
& doesn't involve science
which i am currently struggling with
i still haven't officially declared myself a Biology major
later that day, i had an accounting midterm
i most probably bombed it but whatever
life moves on
nothing else worth mentioning happened for the rest of the week
on friday i just chilled with the homies
saturday was the big day
bamboozle left!
i was so stoked
the event was a lot bigger than i thought
twas crazy
when me & my friend katya arrived we saw Forever the Sickest Kids
they were pretty good
i was pretty bummed though that i seriously just missed The Cab
but it's okay
i met up with jared & steph after the performance
& we kinda got separated from katya and her homies
we went to see The Friday Night Boys
i really wanted to hear That What She Said but they didn't play it :[
then again, we did leave a tad early to see We The Kings
i really liked them
then we checked out Hey Monday
it was alright, not my favorite
then we saw Care Bears on Fire
soooo weird because they look like they're pre-teens
they sound like they could have sang the Teen Titans opening song
we then headed over to hear Every Avenue
since their stage was right next to the stage where The Scene Aesthetic were going to be at
i stood by that stage instead
i wanted to get as close as possible to them
then they finally come on stage
i freaked
this is my first time seeing them live
they are soooo cute
there was about a 15 minute delay because there was technical difficulties where we couldn't hear Andrew's guitar
but soon things were remedied & they started there show
they sound better than their CD i think
they did a cover for Love Story by Taylor Swift
soo good
& of course they ended with Beauty in the Breakdown
after they're performance i stayed behind to stalk Andrew
after about 10 minutes i finally got my chance to talk to him
i praised him for his stellar performance & took a picture with him
he then gave me a hug & as i was walking away
he tells me that i smell good!
omg! that is the single greatest compliment i have ever gotten so far
i was extremely giddy from then on
then i went to find Eric who was chillin by the merch table
i took a picture with him & also complimented his performance
he also gave me a hug
i love The Scene Aesthetic
they are so down to earth & nice to boot
i then make my way to see All Time Low
i text katya but she never responded so i was by myself for a little bit
i wasn't scared but i did feel a little lame standing by myself
but after All Time Low i found katya & stood with her & her homies
we decided not to move anywhere so as not to lose our spot for Fall Out Boy
we saw Cobra Starship, Metro Station, and The Get Up Kids from our spot
i was so sore from standing up all day, it's ridiculous
& wherever i went, the air was filled with the smell of weed or cigarettes
it was pretty interesting
anyway, finally Fall Out Boy comes out & everybody goes crazy
they are freakin sweet
then sadly, the performance was over & everyone started leaving
so we make our way to our car & leave for SD
we get back around 1:00am
& katya complains that she can't walk so we sit in her car for about half an hour
i decided to take pictures during this time
then i finally persuade her to leave the car by mentioning that we race there
so she gets out of the car & starts running towards her room
i really didn't think that she would take me up on the challenge
so i run after her holding her stuff
she gets to her room and crashes on her bed
i make sure everything is good with her & then i left for my room
i too crashed once i got to my bed
twas a good sleep
then today i woke up around noon & ate ramen for lunch (typical)
me & my roommates then decided to hit the beach
that was nice
the weather was just lovely
overall good weekend
i can't wait for easter break which begins this wednesday
i am so stoked :]

my week was fairly normal
except for the fact that my music class was canceled on wednesday & friday
meaning that i got an extra hour of sleep! yay!
on friday i had my second bio midterm
i don't think i did so well :[
recently i've been on a nature high
i've been watching Planet Earth
which is amazing by the way
& on a different spectrum i've also been watching Sci-Fi
it's corny but i like it
sometimes it's so bad that you just can't change the channel
now on to this past weekend
it had it's ups and it most definitely had its downs
friday, after classes we go to the house of blues to buy tickets for ARTTM
we get there & the lady says that it is SOLD OUT!
wtf?! i was so pissed & sad all at the same time
so as a little pick me up we when to Ghiradelli's & had some icecream
then later that night, we celebrated my friend Joe's 20th birthday
it was fun & i know the birthday boy had fun
although im sure he doesn't quite remember everything that happened. haha
then on saturday Ken invited me & amanda over to his place to have breakfast/lunch
it was an all out buffet!
he cooked spam, vienna, eggs, hash browns, and rice
twas very delicious indeed
then we all went to the beach
it has been awhile since i've been to the beach so it was a very nice change of pace
we laid out for a little bit then more of our friends came
we played volleyball for a bit then hit the water
the water was so cold but felt so good
we left the beach a bit later then i had expected
i was suppose to go to the PCN early to help out
i was 45 minutes late
but no one really noticed so i was off the hook
the PCN was good
made me cry on more than just one occassion
gabe bondoc, leejay abucayan, and passion performed for the pre-show
im in love with gabe! :]
during intermission, Ken calls Sean to bring us some apple juice
good call on ken's part
we then decided to go to the after party in Chula Vista
some of the homies pre-gamed it then we headed out around 12:30am
we blasted random music like Aqua's Barbie Girl. haha
we get the house & it's pretty nice.
we we're inside for like 10 minutes when Velinda says that she wants to go outside
i join her because i sense there was more to going outside then just getting air
once outside she starts bawling
so we sit on the sidewalk & i try to calm her down
the things she told me were extremely intense
i didn't really know how to respond
we moved our convo to the car because it was cold outside
i don't know how to help her
i wish i knew what to do
all im kinda good at is making people laugh or at making awkward;y funny situations
i want to be there for her & support her in her struggles
while in the car, she falls asleep & just when i though things were calming down Amanda calls me
she says that she has reached her limit & that she was heading towards the car
naturally, she forgets where we parked so i went out to meet her
i find her & she was completely gone
i sat her down inside the car & a few minutes later she opens the car door & expels the contents of that night
that went on for a while & then she calmed down & closed the door relaxing a bit
then my other friends came to the car & we all left around 3:00am
while driving, Charisma starts acting up as well
forcing us to pull over at some random place
Kyle really needed to pee & tried going to Walgreens & CVS
but niether of them were open
so he tried looking for a spot to pee
he walks down this shady ass street & we start getting worried
so, while still in the car, we follow the path Kyle took
we see a shady guy walk away from the street he came from
so we naturally start getting nervous
we go down the street & there is no sign of him
we decided to go back to where we were in case he went back
& as we make our way back, there he was standing in the parking lot waiting for us
he tells us that he walked past the church & peed in a corner
but he hears someone near him so he stops mid-stream
then when he felt the coast was clear, he finished
so funny
we all thought he got shanked or something
then we headed to Santana's because we were all hungry
okay... i was hungry
we get there & park the car
the two girls from earlier immediately start up again
then a cop passes by & asks us if we were okay
we replied that we were alright
then he asked if we had a DD
we said yes
& as the cop was going to drive off, Ken walks in front of his car & almost got hit
it was so funny
would have laughed harder if we weren't also scared about the possibility of getting in trouble
we go inside & i get a quesadilla (typical)
then we drive back to campus
we get back at around 4:30am
Amanda knocks out once we get back
& Velinda & i eat our food & chat for a little bit longer
i end up going to bed at 6am
i woke up at 3pm the next day
& didn't do anything productive
now it's moday, & it sucked so bad
music class was boring as heck
then i started feeling really down in the dumps because of what happened saturday night
when im not keeping my mind busy, & there is a problem, the problem tends to occupy my full attention
& i get extremely sad
i get to bio & it helped to keep my mind off my roommate situation
in public speaking we had a pop quiz
failed it
& he starts talking about the next speech
i swear we just finished the last one
gahhh so frustrating
i just feel like everything around me is crumbling as i try to keep things from toppling over
& at the same time i just don't feel like i have enough strength to do what i have to
my optimism is fading as the constant negativity begins consuming my thoughts
i truly pray for the strength to help the people i love

i missed a week. haha
well, last week was my spring break
twas tons of fun
although i did spend most of my days actually doing school work
weird right?
i had fun catching up with friends
i miss them so much
it sucks that we have to be about 130 miles apart
well, on saturday, i went with pam to the San Andreas Fault
that was really fun
the landscape was beautiful
i am on a natural landscape photography high
after the fault, pam & i met up with Jared, Steph, and Angela
to head over to California Adventure
it was my first time there EVER
so much fun
then it was the end of my break
my parents took me back to SD on sunday
something horrible happened that day
i was putting my hotpockets away when my parents spotted something they shouldn't have
let's just say, things will be a lot more awkward from now on
but the good part was that we ate at Ruth's Cris
which has amazing steak & mashed potatoes
nothing interesting happened monday
tuesday was st. patrick's day
me & my roommates had a st. patrick's day fiesta in our room
probably not such a good idea considering i had a music midterm the next morning
but it was okay because i got a B
then i had a logic midterm on thursday
& to finish out the week i had my public speaking speech on friday
i was hella nervous
but as i was speaking i felt the stress dissipate and i feel like i did an okay job
so as to celebrate the end of a stressful week i decided to unwind a little
i went to the Berma Benefit down in the Valley
supporting the talent of my fellow USD students
after the show, ken & sean were having a little get together in celebration of our first soccer win
we tried watcing Role Models but people were being too loud
on saturday, my roomies and i went to a baseball game
it was USD v. Brown
it was my first ever baseball game
it was interesting. haha
not really my kind of sport
now it's sunday
which means time to do work. haha
i did a little homework and then got distracted by various things
so here i am writing in my blog

this has been a pretty good week
i can't really remember what happened monday or tuesday
so i shall start with wednesday
one of THE best wednesdays of my life
my biology teacher handed back our exams from the previous week
she claimed that the average of the class was a 75
& that the highest score was a 97
when i got my exam back i was so nervous
but then i turned the page to see my score
& i got a freakin 97! woot woot!
do you know how ecstatic i was?
that was an epic moment
so after that class i had public speaking
i actually had a midterm in that class
but i walked in with my friend Katya with a big smile on my face
but my face changed a tad as i started the exam
not too bad, but also not too easy
then i was done for the day
i was headed back to my dorm when i bumped into my friend Joey
we ended up eating at L&L's Hawaiian Restaurant
my first time ever!
it was pretty good, if i do say so myself
then i just went back to my dorm & watched tv
while i was watching family guy
my friend Ria texted asking if i wanted to watch Grease that night
i couldn't help but jump at the opportunity
also, the tickets were free :]
so me & Charisma get ready & head to the Civic Theatre for the musical
the venue was nice
although it does pale in comparison to Pantages
Grease was so different from the movie
the songs weren't in the same order
& it was so much dirtier then what i remember
there was thrusting, crude gestures, & sexual innuendos all over the place
i loved it. haha
although i felt a little uncomfortable because the audience consisted of the elders and children
i ended the night with animal crackers & creme puffs
thursday was exciting television wise
me, my roomies, & charisma decided to make a night of it & ordered pizza
a new episode of The Office came out
then came 30 Rock
which is so funny

then at 10pm was the final for America's Best Dance Crew
i was all for Quest Crew
i mean, Beat Freaks were good...
but they were no match for the choreography of Quest Crew
so finally friday came
the last day of classes before spring break
i only had 2 classes that day (as opposed to my usual 3 classes)
after my final class i walked with Ken to his car
& he then drove us back to the dorms
yes, i admit, we are lazy bums
but also he had an excuse
he was leaving for Paris that day!
i am so excited for him
he's traveling to the other side of the world
& all by himself!
that's legit. hahaha
after saying farewell to him, i headed back to my room to eat lunch & start packing
my mom picked me up around 5pm-ish
we didn't get back home till around 9pm
we had dinner in Chinatown at Phoenix Inn
good food & we're friends with the people there. haha
i passed out when i got home
food coma + 3 hour car trip = death
saturday was awesome
i kicked it with the bestest & angela
we went to Venice Beach
it was so crowded
it was ridiculous
after venice we went to santa monica promenade
we walked around & ate crepes & french fries
we then dropped Angela off at home & hit up target in glendale
we met up with Carmie, Doug, & Joseph
they wanted to eat so they decided to go to IHOP
pam & i visited Joel at his starbucks then met up with the others at IHOP again
when they finished their dinner, the boys left & we dropped Carmie off at home
on the way to my house, pam calls her friend
& we decide to visit them since they live so close to my house
it was cool because i got to see 2 of my old friends from Providence
then i went home & knocked out
now it's sunday & it's spring forward
i woke up at noon
then i went with my sister to Pantages Theatre to try to get RENT tickets
there was a whole bunch of people & they were only raffling about 26 tickets
we unfortunately didn't get it
but that's okay, we had a plan B
my sister, Pam, & i went to LACMA to see classical performers
Angela was the one who told us about it
it was actually pretty cool
although we were kinda late (as usual haha)
after the performance, we decided to go check out the museum
you know, while we were there
the place is so beautiful
i love museums
after the museum closed, Angela went home & we went to Islands to eat din din
after din din, my sister & i met up with our parents at starbucks
we walked around downtown burbank for a bit then went home
spring break seems to be going great so far :]
