let's see
monday and tuesday were the last day of classes
i still can't believe the semester is already over
i spent most of the week studying for my bio & public speaking midterm
i took a break on thursday to play a little soccer with some of the boys
we didn't actually play a game but mostly just messed around
afterwards most of us went to paloma on campus for din din
when we finished, we walked to the tram stop and waited
then some car pulls up next to us & says "it's panda!"
we were all very confused
but eventually we realized it was Francis Hoe aka Bay Area
he gave us a ride back to our dorm
we had a sudden craving for coldstone so we went
i am not a big fan of the place
but i got OREO OVERLOAD and it was amazing
wow. i love it so much. haha
we ate our ice cream in the parking lot like the cool kids that we are
after we were done, we headed back to the dorm
i was super sad though because we just missed The Office season finale
but we did end up watching 30 Rock
after that, we decided to call it a night & part ways
as we left, i stole the bag of marshmallows from the boys
suckers. haha
on friday, i had a public speaking final
i'm not too sure what to think about that test
i'm just gonna hope that i did okay. haha
after that ordeal, amanda calls me and tells me that she's almost here
she decided to drive all the way over to SD to visit me
she tells me that she was outside and i go out to meet her
i get there & i see her
then all of a sudden, three of my other friends pop out from behind a car
it was the biggest surprise
i was so happy
so it was amanda, jj, joseph, and marianne
i love these kids
& they also made me a finals care package with all these neat things
we end up eating at this random chinese restuarant
then we hit up gaslamp
then chilled back at my dorm
i really missed them
it was nice hanging out with them again
i can't wait to do that more often once summer arrives
on saturday, i continued studying for bio
that's basically it
haha, oh & i went to costco for din din
then today, my roommates and i went to balboa park
my first time there ever!
it is pretty awesome i must say
i really liked it
then we went back to our dorm to study some more
charisma then sends out a text about a USD fambam dinner at Pho
hell yeah i was down
i haven't had Pho in forever! haha
it was so good & another good break from studies
when we got back to the dorm i was fully intending to continue studying
but then i remembered that the SNL shorts were on tonight
so of course i had to watch that
it was freakin 2 hours long
haha, i had a really long study break
after the show, i studied again & now im just over it and blogging
this week is going to be horrible

this week was a bit stressful to say the least
on monday, my music concert review was due
it was actually kind of fun
weird right?
well it's because i was analyzing Fall Out Boy :]
they are amazing
then in my bio class, i had a quiz on an article we we're suppose to read
the quiz wasn't that bad but still
i didn't want to take it
& the discussion was boring as balls
tuesday was the last day for my club meetings
free pizza is always a plus haha
i also got my logic quiz back & wow
epic fail
i got a 1 out of 10
but she's counting it as extra credit (thank goodness)
im seriously so lost in that class right now
eff logic
i was so sad that i couldn't see mae at UCSD that night
next time next time
oh & since it was Cinco de Mayo we did a mini celebration
except we made something more akin to smoothies
on wednesday i had my final speech for my public speaking class
it was so nerve racking
i don't know, i think i'm getting progressively worse at it
on thursday, my massive financial statement analysis project was due
friday was fun
we had a girls night out
we ate dinner at wings n things
then hit up the drive-in to watch Ghosts of girlfriend's past & 17 again
i personally liked 17 again
then again, i am very biased :]
we then just kicked it at our friend's dorm
at the same time the boys had a boys night
where they cut their hair and went to barona
boys night is definitely far more dangerous haha
we end up going to bed at like 5am
i then woke up the next day at 2:30pm
my friend invites me to breakfast/lunch at their place
so of course, i go
i end up chillin there for a few hours then bounce
sean ended up coming over to hang out with amanda & i
he brought pizza because he knew we had no food
very nice of him indeed
we then had a movie night & watched Lethal Weapon
after that, we were very stoked to find out that the cable was on again
we channel surfed until SNL came on
wow, this episode was so funny!
it's been awhile since i laughed so much for SNL
after that, amanda's brother picked her up to surprise their mom in the morning
i continue channel surfing and decided to check out Sci Fi because they almost always had something interesting on
i was hooked and so was sean
the premise of the movie was stupid but it was still super scary
i haven't been this freaked out about a movie in awhile
sean of course, laughed for the majority of the time
but it was a comfort to know that he thought that it was indeed creepy
when the movie ended, it was late & sean went back to his room
leaving me in my dorm all by myself!
needless to say i was a little freaked out
i end up going on youtube to watch various SNL clips like Im on a boat & Jizz in my pants
i definitely needed the humor
i go to bed at 4am with all the lights on
then i woke up around noon to start getting ready for my parents visit
it was mother's day so my parents came down to SD
we had dim sum at Jasmine
then just went around fashion valley mall and the gaslamp district
we ended the night with dinner at Ruth's Chris
super yummy *drool*
i then get back to my dorm at around 10pm & realize that i had homework to do
crap! haha
i had an article to read and do a summary on
& another article to read for a quiz on monday

ughh this past week has been gross
i started off the week with a biology midterm
on tuesday i had to watch the student composer concert
it wasn't that bad
it was interesting to say the least
on wednesday i had a music quiz
i was also suppose to register for classes next semester today
but because i have a hold on my account that didn't happen
i was super sad
i don't want crappy teachers
on thursday i had a ridiculously difficult logic quiz
seriously, i had no idea what the heck i was doing
but whatever
that class is almost over, thank god
then later that day i had a financial accounting midterm
the night was fun though because we watched The Office
& played Super Smash Brothers
i dominated... not haha
we played for about 2hours straight
yup, it was that intense
on friday i was super stoked for the camping trip
the USD fambam was going into the wilderness
we went to an indian reservation camp group about an hour away from USD
the whole experience was exhilarating
we had a mini fire going and made hot dogs and roasted marshmallows
we then played truth or dare with a spin
we really learned a lot about one another
i feel we got even closer
as the night was winding down, most of us went to sleep
there was 8 of us sleeping in a 6 person tent
we actually all fit quite comfortably
when everyone started the arise, we all decide to head back to campus
so we start packing up and enjoy our last moments there
when i got back to my dorm i passed out for a couple of hours
then i ate dinner and played some more Smash with the homies
and now it's sunday
i have been doing work since i woke up
i can't wait for summer vacation

so this was the last week for intramural soccer :[
both of the teams i played for went into the playoffs but unfortunately we didn't win
we played hard, and tried our best
now i might have to start going to the gym because i lost my only source of exercise
the rest of the week dragged by very slowly
nothing particularly amazing happened
friday night was pretty darn awesome though
the USD fambam decided to go see a drive-in movie
my first drive-in EVER!
but before the show, we all went to L&L's to have dinner
the food was good as always
then we went back to our dorms to grab our blankets & such then went on our way
the place wasn't too far away & it was pretty cheap
it was only $7 for 2 movies. sweet.
we watched Observe & Report and I Love You Man
for the first movie, me & amanda sat on the trunk of the car to watch the movie
it was cool but a tad painful after a while
so after the first movie, we turned the car around & we all sat inside
i didn't really like Observe & Report
i thought it was kinda stupid
it was like a dirtier version of Paul Blart Mall Cop
i actually liked that movie better
the second movie was amazing
that was actually my second time watching it
i love that movie!
so good
paul rudd is so awkward
you can't help but fall in love with him
by far the best scene of the movie was the whole "slappin da bass mon" between Rudd and Rashida Jones
after the movies we went back to the dorms & kicked it for a little bit at Borrego
i spent saturday studying for my bio midterm
i have actually been studying all week for this midterm
sunday rolls around & i continue to study
but i got distracted as the concert started getting closer & closer
the anticipation was ridiculous
my first time seeing Dashboard Confessional
& it was only $10
heck yes! haha
they were really good
& i gotta give props to the lead singer because he can really belt out the notes & sustain them
i think my heart skipped a beat. haha
i was so sad when the concert was over
afterwards, my friends wanted to go eat din din but i passed
i don't have money to eat
i chose music over food. seriously. haha
so now im back at my dorm eating my 20 cent ramen not studying for my midterm

interesting week i must say
so the United Front Formal was this weekend
& my friends really wanted me & my roomies to go
but i was iffy
then on tuesday Micah, my friend from FUSO
asked me to the formal
it caught me completely off guard let me tell you
i see him like a little brother
i told him i'd get back to him to think it over
from then on until wednesday i struggled with the decision
then, with the help of my roomies & Charisma, i decided to go with them instead
i felt so bad turning him down
he is such a nice guy
but life moves on
thursday was pretty normal
friday finally came & i was nervous as balls because i had a persuasive speech to give for my public speaking class
i personally don't think i did too well, but i hope i got a decent grade nonetheless
i did a mini freak out when i found out my cell phone wasn't working
i never knew how dependent i was on my cell phone as a means of connecting me with people
but finally my phone starts working again
it was a dreadful 12 hours of my life! haha
friday night was pretty chill though
i just watched tv & played online games (nerdy i know)
then my other roommate Blanca came home & we watched Twilight
wow.
the one word i would use to sum up that movie is: awkward
hahaha oh man, & i thought it was pretty darn funny
so saturday rolls around & we're all excited/nervous
before the formal, we all head over to G's place for a little pre-gaming & picture taking
during the drive over to the Hilton, G tells me that Sean texted me friday night about the formal
& that they all thought i was a snob or something
my heart sank
i felt so terrible
no wonder he was acting awkward around me
stupid cell phone, horrible timing
i wanted to make amends so i made up my mind to apologize to him & to explain myself
it was a lot harder than i thought
i was hella nervous, but i finally did it & he forgave me & said it was cool
& that he knew that i wouldn't intentionally not respond
after clearing the air, i could truly start dancing & partying & such
it was awesome because they played Journey's Don't Stop Believin
the USD fambam linked together & started singing out loud
it was so much fun
after the dance, we went to the after party at Ria's house
which was literally across the street from school
so we all just walked to the house
the party was fun & we left around 3am
most people called it a night & went to bed
but Sean, Charisma, V, Amanda, & i were still wired & ended up chilling in the courtyards of the vista
we then decided to play Dirty Minds back at my dorm
honestly the game wasn't as fun as i thought it would be
i lost of course :[ haha
we finally called it a night at about 6am
crazy, we were awake for the sunrise haha
the weirdest thing was that i woke up at 11am
wtf?!?!?!
5 hours of sleep???? why???? haha stupid body
last night we were talking about hitting up the beach today so i send the mass text
& we end up going to The Jetty
the weather was perfect! it was warm & windy
it was crazy traffic driving to the beach but when it came time to park, there were tons of free spaces
weird. haha
we basically all just laid out
im not really good at it because i get antsy & fidgety
& i feel like i need to be doing something
once it started getting colder we packed up our stuff & left
we were actually at the beach for about 2 hours!
it really didn't feel like 2 hours at all
we get back to the dorms at almost 6pm
so now i should really be doing homework but i don't want to
i refuse! haha

I only had 3 days of class before Easter break
& my music class was once again cancelled for this week
so happy :]
i started off my Easter break with I Love You Man
great movie
& what made it even more interesting is that we played a little game where we drank our juice every time someone says "i love you man," "dude," "date," or a made up word
twas fun indeed
i went back home the following day on thursday via amtrak
i hung out with the family
friday was basically the same as thursday
i just chilled with the family
i had lunch with my mom, sis, and her bf at kabuki
i bumped into Gary which was cool
because i haven't seen him in such a long time
then the whole fambam went to The Boiling Crab in Alhambra
the wait was about an hour and a half
but it was completely worth it
we had shrimp, crab legs, and crayfish
there were no utensils and no plates
we had to get down and dirty
i loved it
i would most definitely go back again
on saturday i got my haircut
i was planning on simply getting my bangs back & trimming the ends
but the guy cut it a lot shorter than i expected
but it's all good in the hood because i really like it
i had jollibee for lunch & then met up with pam
we then met up with jared, steph, and angela at the galleria
pam & i then split off from them to watch Hannah Montana
gahh horrible movie
i wouldn't say it's THE WORST MOVIE
but i would definitely put it in the top 5
after the movie we went to paseo for our friend's bday dinner at vokcano
there were a lot of people there we didn't even know
the birthday girl was almost 2 hours late
we couldn't stay to eat because we promised we would meet up for Jared's bday dinner at Buca de Beppo in Huntington
so we wished her happy birthday then bounced
we arrived at Huntington and met up with everyone
it was so good seeing everybody again
i love how it feels like we just pick up right where we left off
it feels like nothing has really changed
as the night came to an end we all went our different ways
pam was tired from driving all day so she let me drive
i was so excited
this was probably the longest drive for me
i did okay, everyone survived haha
on sunday i went to dim sum with the fambam
then we tried going to the Santa Anita mall but it was closed
lame
so we just went to the Jamba Juice by our house
it was nice just sitting outside and chilling
for din din we went to Black Angus because i really wanted prime rib
i spent monday getting ready to go back to SD
i got back at about 6pm & had dinner at L&L's
i have not done anything academically productive over Easter break... oh well
i can't believe there is only 6 weeks of school left
then i'll be a junior. wow. crazyness.

so on tuesday
there was a Sophomore Career Day thing during dead hours
i only went because i get extra credit for my financial accounting class
the speakers were alright
i am kinda inspired to become an accountant
because it just seems so practical
& doesn't involve science
which i am currently struggling with
i still haven't officially declared myself a Biology major
later that day, i had an accounting midterm
i most probably bombed it but whatever
life moves on
nothing else worth mentioning happened for the rest of the week
on friday i just chilled with the homies
saturday was the big day
bamboozle left!
i was so stoked
the event was a lot bigger than i thought
twas crazy
when me & my friend katya arrived we saw Forever the Sickest Kids
they were pretty good
i was pretty bummed though that i seriously just missed The Cab
but it's okay
i met up with jared & steph after the performance
& we kinda got separated from katya and her homies
we went to see The Friday Night Boys
i really wanted to hear That What She Said but they didn't play it :[
then again, we did leave a tad early to see We The Kings
i really liked them
then we checked out Hey Monday
it was alright, not my favorite
then we saw Care Bears on Fire
soooo weird because they look like they're pre-teens
they sound like they could have sang the Teen Titans opening song
we then headed over to hear Every Avenue
since their stage was right next to the stage where The Scene Aesthetic were going to be at
i stood by that stage instead
i wanted to get as close as possible to them
then they finally come on stage
i freaked
this is my first time seeing them live
they are soooo cute
there was about a 15 minute delay because there was technical difficulties where we couldn't hear Andrew's guitar
but soon things were remedied & they started there show
they sound better than their CD i think
they did a cover for Love Story by Taylor Swift
soo good
& of course they ended with Beauty in the Breakdown
after they're performance i stayed behind to stalk Andrew
after about 10 minutes i finally got my chance to talk to him
i praised him for his stellar performance & took a picture with him
he then gave me a hug & as i was walking away
he tells me that i smell good!
omg! that is the single greatest compliment i have ever gotten so far
i was extremely giddy from then on
then i went to find Eric who was chillin by the merch table
i took a picture with him & also complimented his performance
he also gave me a hug
i love The Scene Aesthetic
they are so down to earth & nice to boot
i then make my way to see All Time Low
i text katya but she never responded so i was by myself for a little bit
i wasn't scared but i did feel a little lame standing by myself
but after All Time Low i found katya & stood with her & her homies
we decided not to move anywhere so as not to lose our spot for Fall Out Boy
we saw Cobra Starship, Metro Station, and The Get Up Kids from our spot
i was so sore from standing up all day, it's ridiculous
& wherever i went, the air was filled with the smell of weed or cigarettes
it was pretty interesting
anyway, finally Fall Out Boy comes out & everybody goes crazy
they are freakin sweet
then sadly, the performance was over & everyone started leaving
so we make our way to our car & leave for SD
we get back around 1:00am
& katya complains that she can't walk so we sit in her car for about half an hour
i decided to take pictures during this time
then i finally persuade her to leave the car by mentioning that we race there
so she gets out of the car & starts running towards her room
i really didn't think that she would take me up on the challenge
so i run after her holding her stuff
she gets to her room and crashes on her bed
i make sure everything is good with her & then i left for my room
i too crashed once i got to my bed
twas a good sleep
then today i woke up around noon & ate ramen for lunch (typical)
me & my roommates then decided to hit the beach
that was nice
the weather was just lovely
overall good weekend
i can't wait for easter break which begins this wednesday
i am so stoked :]
